Happy 4th of July week everyone! We hope you have big plans for this week and we know many of you will be spending time on the water. We want to encourage you to be safe while you are boating with some safety tips below!
1) Please consider taking a boating safety course. Nearly 60% of boat owners have not completed a safety course and 70% of boating accidents are caused by operator error. Many of these could be prevented with basic safety training.
2) Make sure your boat is stocked with all required safety devices such as life jackets.
3) Use common sense. While the 4th of July holiday is cause for celebration, operating a boat under the influence of alcohol is extremely dangerous and should never be attempted.
